For the professional photographers out there, here is a new app that you can find handy. We see today a lot of remote controlled devices that cater to cameras such as the tripod but this new iPhone app can actually control when to shoot and focus.

Quite neat really. Imagine finally including yourself in those great looking pics without worrying about focusing and related stuff? Well that is now all possible thanks to the DSLR Remote iPhone App. The application lets you trip the shutter and control camera settings such as shutter speed, aperture and and white balance for Canon DSLRs right from your iPhone or iPod Touch.

You need to attach the camera to a PC to do it. Though it was not mentioned on what type of connection is used. I’m guessing it will make use of USB connection which in any case would perhaps be ideal for laptops to come in handy.

It’s available now at the App Store in two flavors: Lite for $2 and Pro for $10.
