Eight Tiny Cameras With Huge Zooms
You know, that’s been the one thing that’s always puzzled me about the compact digital camera. They’re small, they take nice pictures, but for most of them you have to be only a few feet away from the target you want to take pictures of. Why NOT be able to take pictures of things from several hundred feet?
Well, there ARE a few cameras out there that’ll give you long range zoom in a compact package–I just found a great list of eight thanks to the folks out at PC World magazine–so here it is: eight compact cameras with great zoom features!
Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3S: 12x zoom
Casio Exilim EX-H10: 10x zoom
Canon PowerShot SX200 IS: 12x zoom
Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1: 8x zoom
Kodak EasyShare Z915: 10x zoom
Olympus Stylus-9000: 10x zoom
Kodak EasyShare Z950: 10x zoom
Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR: 10x zoom
Considering that many digital cameras max out at about 2x or 3x, an 8x represents some pretty good distance, and 10x and 12x even more so! So if you’re looking for a camera that can get pics from across the field, you may want to look into those eight.
