The use of fingerprint readers for security has been common these days and the only thing that should be different is how accurate and efficient they can be. Apparently UPEK Inc. has been known to deliver quality readers on their end and now they expand that class with the release of the EikonTouch USB Fingerprint readers. Their new line of fingerprint readers come in two versions, the EikonTouch 700 and the Eikon Touch 300. The EikonTouch 700 is geared more towards government applications which could only mean stiffer security measures when scanning sets in. The Eikon Touch 300 on the other hand is catered more towards rugged environments which require one-touch authentication.
