Epson produced a high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) TFT color panel squarely targeted for use in the LCD viewfinders of professional level camcorders.
Epson claims that by using a RGB stripe color filter, you prevent color breakup when recording fast-moving objects or panning and has “the ability to recreate smooth gradations and a natural softness”.
The display with 1.56 megapixels has a contrast ratio of 280:1 plus a resolution of 960×540 pixels, and it only measures 0,52 of an inch diagonally.
Epson will continue to offer new solutions for electronic viewfinders like this option to the ULTIMICRON series…
