Epson Helps Restore Old Photos

Stored photos do not usually carry the same striking image and colors they had from years back and unless you are a genius in photo editing software like Photoshop, chances are you would just leave it all for naught.
However, thanks to Epson, you can easily perk up that old photo, making retouching a breeze. The Easy Photo Fix Color Restoration Feature restores faded photographs automatically while scanning. You can also choose to make new prints from slides and negatives. There is no need to manipulate the photos manually or deal with complicated steps and software; just pop the old photo onto the scanner bed and scan away!
The feature resides within the Epson scan driver and can be accessed through the Home or Professional Mode of the scan driver or through the RePrint Photos Applet in the Epson Smart Panel. The scan driver can be accessed within imaging applications such as Photoshop or standalone from your desktop or within Programs.
A Color Restoration checkbox is included in the scan driver interface. A preview screen will show what the photo will look like after it has been restored. Once the Color Restoration checkbox is selected, the machine will scan and restore the photo at the same time.
