Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Recives Ecohitech Award
Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer banked Italy’s most prestigious recognition for environmental achievement, the 2007 ecohitech award at a ceremony in Milan on 29th October. The printer’s exceptional design results in production of unbelievable image quality. The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 uses Epson’s revolutionary UltraChrome K3™ Ink with industry leading 8-color pigment technology professional-quality color and black-and-white prints. The 17-inch wide printer integrates MicroPiezo AMC Print Head technology to produce distinguished images at the maximum resolution of 2880 x 1440dpi with variable sized droplets as small as 3.5 picoliters. Other features include Accuphoto™ HD Screening, high-capacity paper feeder (120 sheets of plain paper), one high speed USB 2.0 and one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interface for connectivity.
The jury’s appraisal of Epson’s award, given in the “Energy Saving and CO2 Reduction” category, states, “The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 is a compact printer developed and produced in accordance with the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). In comparison with the previous models, the estimated CO2 emissions during the whole product life are reduced by 44% and the amount of the resources used during the production is reduced by 55%. The printer is EcoLeaf certified. ”
