Epson gladly unveiled new additions to its Maxart array of large format inkjet printers. The PX-6550 is the successor of the highly celebrated PX-6500 and supports a number of substrates to print upon including A2 width machine glazed paper and A4 cut sheet. Through Vivid Magenta ink it gracefully renders colorful documents using a wide color gamut and retouching. The 8 color pigment PX-P/K3 VM ink decreases illuminant dependency to maintain color consistency in high brightness or vibrant lighting conditions.

Furthermore, PX-6550 also provides the functions of nesting and the tiling with the ONYX RIP Center for Epson. The powerful color management tool enables superior functionality for increased productivity with supreme quality output. The Epson Maxart PX-6550 will be exhibited at PAGE2008 from February 6th to February 8th in Tokyo city at the sunshine city convention center. The company plans to release the product at February 14th for an estimated price of 248 thousand Yen.
