Epson America Inc. announced its first 64-inch wide format printer Epson Stylus Pro 11880 ColorBurst Edition. This ColorBurst Edition includes a professional PostScript(R) Language Level3(TM) compatible RIP by ColorBurst, through its new and exceptional print head technology, MicroPiezo(R) TFP(TM) (Thin Film Piezo) it gives output with unmatched speed and quality.

The printer’s MicroPiezo TFP Print Head Technology helps to achieve highest level of ink droplet accuracy, nozzle clogs are easily reduced due to ink repelling coating, and the print head features 360 smart nozzles per inch each of which is capable to produce droplets in multiple sizes as small as 3.5 picoliters with a high resolution as 2,880 x 1,440 dpi. Epson UltraChrome K3(TM) ink technology is the industry standard by which all other professional-level ink technologies are judged, with the new Vivid Magenta pigments only eight colors are required for superior image quality. ColorBurst(R) Edition will be offered in December 2007 at a market price of $15,995.
