Epson introduced the new in line wide format printer, Epson Stylus Pro 7880. Powered with the Eight-Channel MicroPiezo® AMC™ Print Head, the 24 inch printer uses Epson’s unique UltraChrome K3™ Ink Technology with Vivid Magenta for extraordinary results. The advanced technology enables Superior scratch resistance and color stability from improved pigment and resin chemistry for long lasting prints with maximum resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi. Through professional media handling it produces impositions based upon a work-and-turn process, allowing for printing on both sides of certain media types, it also features Built-in Automatic Cutting System supporting most media types and Optional Manual Media Cutter for cutting even the thickest of media types. Other features include Epson AccuPhoto HD Screening, Epson Intelligent High-Capacity Ink System, Automatic Head Alignment and Nozzle Check, superior connectivity by USB 2.0 and 10/100 BaseT Ethernet. Epson Stylus Pro 7880 will be available in October at a price of $2,995, a special Epson Stylus Pro 7880 ColorBurst Edition will be available by December 2007 an estimated price of $3,995.
