Fear Paparazzi? Not Anymore!
We love our cameras here at Image Acquire, and why shouldn’t we? They take great pictures, and help us remember the great events of our lives. But for some, cameras are a neverending nightmare, a repeating loop of horrors, intrusion and fear. It’s for those people that I proffer today’s gadget of choice, the Camera Detector.
Of course, you might look at that little plastic box and the forty dollar price tag and say, whoa, how does THAT little scrap of nothing manage to detect cameras? Well, as it turns out, it’s pretty simple, but a bit misleading.
What this does is detect SIGNALS. It detects “spy WiFi”, or any wifi signal in the under 6500MHZ range, which sort of seems to guarantee that the device will never actually shut up. It also detects infrared lasers, as in the kind used by some cameras. Of course, I say, SOME cameras, as many types of camera never generate an infrared laser at all.
So, okay…maybe this forty dollar doohickey isn’t exactly the best thing you could ever want for detecting cameras and wireless signals near you. But it’s still kind of an interesting idea, if nothing else.
