Flickr Launches New Page Layout For Its Members
Flickr recently started a new page for the photos of its members. So, Flickr established a bunch of changes. First of all, raising the default size of pictures by twenty-eight percent linearly with 640 pixels on the longer side. Next, redesigning film strips to display more of the surrounding images in a set or group. Then, adding a location map to the right-hand column next to each photo that was manually or automatically geo-tapped.
Meanwhile, other changes include introducing a new “light box view” for photos against a black background, removing the button clutter above the images, adding new navigation tools, integrating favorites with the comment stream, etc. There’s also new writing but the updated look is available as a preview for members only. So, you’ll get to see it by signing in and clicking the “Take me to the future” link above any photo on display if you have membership with Flickr. The company also promises to extend access of these new features to other interested people in the near future.
