Fuji Fine Pix A500 Review
The guys over DPexpert did a review of FUJIFILM FINEPIX A500 digital camera and like the digicam for its image quality which were detailed and rich in color. They were also impressed by the 5.1 sensor which they thought offered a lot, considering its price. However they were not impressed by the zoom capabilities of the camera and the overall controls.
The Fujifilm FinePix A500 is a 5.1-megapixel, 3x optical zoom point and shoot digital camera which is powered by standard AA batteries and includes features like, 1.8-inch LCD screen, selectable light sensitivity of up to ISO 400, four scene modes, and 12MB of internal memory. The camera measures about 3.7 x 2.4 x 1.1-inch (93 x 60 x 27.5mm) and the LCD has an average resolution of 77,000 pixels. There is an optical viewfinder on the digicam and it has modes like Auto and Manual (EV and White Balance only), plus Portrait, Landscape, Sports, and Night Scene. The camera does have a movie mode but without sound and its PictBridge compatible too.
In the end they write “The Fujifilm Finepix A500 is excellent value for money. It will produce prints to A4 size with plenty of detail and fidelity. The Fujifilm Finepix A400 is a 4 megapixel alternative that is so similar to the A500 that they share the one instruction manual”.
