Fuji FinePix F100fd

If you are looking for a moderately priced good digital camera that takes great pictures indoors and in low light situations, the Fuji FinePix F100fd will serve you very well. Retailing at around $300, the FinePix F100fd comes with 12 megapixels, a 5x optical zoom, and a wide dynamic range—which means that it can handle difficult shots in both bright and shadowed areas better than any other camera currently available. On the downside, the camera has minimal manual controls and a use interface that is somewhat confusing.

Some buyers have reported an image artifact that leaves a pink band along the left side of the frame, but Fuji claims to have addressed that issue with a firmware upgrade. Other cameras are better (and less expensive) buys for all around performance, but for specific low light applications the Fuji Finepix F100fd has no peer.
