Fuji FIlm has just announced the FinePix Z5fd its first slim camera to incorporate its new "Face Detection" technology.

"Face Detection" allows enabled digital cameras to automatically identify the faces of up to 10 subjects per photo, bring them into clear/sharp focus and optimize exposure settings depending on the situation. The only other camera that has this feature is the S series S6500fd a full size Digital SLR.

The Z5fd comes under the FinePix's slim line but is highly capable with a 6.3 Megapixel lens, 2.5" LCD screen, light sensitivity of up to ISO 1600 and other nifty features like IrSimple which allows you to transfer photos via infrared to a compatible phone so that you can send via MMS or upload to your favorite website.

The Z5fd will be available next month and will come in silver, raspberry red and chocolate brown. Pricing has yet to be announced.
