Fujifilm FinePix S6000fd Review
Fujifilm FinePix S6000fd has been reviewed by Cnet and they like the camera for its 10.7X optical zoom lens; sensitivity up to ISO 3200 and its face detection technology. However the camera lacked an optical image stabilization and the auto white-balance settings worked poorly under artificial light.
The Fujifilm FinePix S6000fd has an awe inspiring SLR like design which makes the other small digicam insipid (well atleast) in my humble opinion!). This 6.3 megapixel digicam includes ISO settings up to 3200 ISO and also includes a 28-300mm Fujinon 10.7x optical zoom lens. In fact this is the first Fuji digital camera with Face Detection Technology where the camera is able to automatically adjust the focus and exposure for sharpest possible images. This new digicam also has an i-Flash intelligent flash system which has been design to set power output and exposure on its own.Users will also dig the Dual Shot mode too which lets the user take two images in quick succession and the powerful 28-300mm Fujinon 10.7X optical zoom lens with full manual control via the lens barrel.
In the end the website writes "Overall, the Fujifilm FinePix S6000fd is a capable superzoom. Its biggest drawback is that it doesn't include optical or mechanical image stabilization to make its zoom lens more useful. Its high ISOs are helpful, but also come with unwanted noise. If you can get past that, this camera offers a wider wide angle than most superzooms on the market. If the absence of image stabilization is a deal breaker for you, however, you'll likely want to check out Sony's Cyber Shot DSC-H5, Canon's Power Shot S3 IS, or Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FZ50."
