I have had a LOT of dealings with Fujifilm cameras, especially lately, and one thing that I find more and more in dealing with them is that they can generally be counted on to be reliable, decent cameras with at least fair controls (unless they’re a bit too slim) and offering plenty of features.  The Fujifilm Finepix JX250 is a great example of just such a camera.

We first introduced this to you back in February, so it’s a bit of a recap to tell you that the Fujifilm Finepix JX250 is a fourteen megapixel camera that offers a 5x optical zoom with accompanying (and highly irregular) 6.7x digital zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD monitor, digital image stabilization, face detection technology (with automatic red-eye removal), SR auto (an automatic scene setting adjustment system) with a variety of preselect shooting modes, a tracking auto focus, an option that takes two pictures in rapid succession so you can decide whether to keep the one shot with or without a flash, movie recording, twenty four megs of onboard memory with Secure Digital compatibility, image search options and an HDTV connection kit.

You can see why I’m a bit effuse in my praise for this one.  I can’t remember the last time I saw a camera with an image search option.  The zoom is solid, even if once again we’ve got the curse of a thin camera to deal with.  But there are plenty of great features, decent onboard memory load–I can’t see too much wrong with this camera.

Especially not the price tag; if you’re in the market for a new fourteen megapixel digital camera, a hundred and sixty bucks is a REALLY good price.  Plus, you’ll get plenty of great features with it, too, and that is a perfect indicator to me that the Fujifilm Finepix JX250 is a good quality model.
