Fujifilm launches FinePix Z300 touch-screen digital compact

Fujifilm has recently announced that they have launched the Fine Pix Z300 digital compact and from the looks of it this camera may stirr up some buzz.

The selling point of the Z300 is that it is Fujifilm’s first ever touch-screen touting digital compact, which means you’ll be able to touch the 3″ LCD screen to shoot, slide your finger across the screen to browse through the menu and photos, you know, everything you’d expect a touch screen digital camera to do.

Anyways, the Z300 features a 10MP image sensor, 5x optical zoom, all sorts of software modes like scene recognition, face detection and dual image stabilizers. A cool feature that hasn’t been seen much if at all is a mode called Blog Mode which allows users to resize the images right on the camera so they are ready for easy web upload.

You’ll apparantly be able to pick one of these up for about $400 on June 20th when it drops in Japan. As for a US release, no word yet.
