Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc., has announced that it will now combine Metrologic’s VoyagerB7 Bluetooth handheld scanning technology with Fujitsu’s I-Scan Genesis self-checkout family. You can check out this solution at booth #2467 of the FMI Show + Marketechnics 2008 in Las Vegas.

“The Metrologic handheld scanner empowers the customer with the freedom to scan large, bulky items without the time-wasting hassles of cashier assistance or cord entanglements. The result is faster self-checkout throughput and increased customer satisfaction,” said Paul Burel, Fujitsu’s self checkout strategic marketing director.

VoyagerBT Bluetooth handheld scanner is fully integrated into U-Scan Genesis and allows you to scan large items in your own cart. Not only this, Fujitsu’s Bluetooth-enables Large Item Scanning with U-Scan Genesis Self-checkout complements the systems’ Metrologic Stratos bioptic scanner.
