Fun With Spycams–The Cardiologist’s Hidden Camera

It’s not surprising that, given the charges against cardiologist Vincent Pacienza, he’s claiming that he’s not guilty, but considering they found a hidden spycam in the ladies’ restroom at his cardiology practice, well, it’s not looking good for him.

See, the story says that Pacienza installed the camera in an air purifier module in the ladies’ restroom, and then closed the employee’s-only restroom, thus forcing all the ladies working at his practice to use the restroom with the camera.  The camera, meanwhile, transmitted directly to a video monitor hidden, guess where?

Under Pacienza’s office desk.

Worst of all, the employees discovered it was there when they got a bill for it in the mail sent to Pacienza’s office.

Now, if this had been a camera with its own onboard memory, it could have been placed by anyone.  But considering that it terminates at a monitor under the guy’s desk, it really doesn’t look good for him legal-wise.

Thus, be careful with your spycams, folks–they’re a lot of fun but they can bring a whole host of legal troubles down on your head.
