Fun With Spycams–Walmart

There are a lot of things you can say about Walmart.  You can say they’re a great way to get decent products at incredibly low prices.  You can say they’re a corporate juggernaut that does amazing things with their supply chain practices.  You can even say they’re a monstrous heartless monolith of a company that should be destroyed before they go any farther.

Now, however, you can say that they spy on employees in the bathroom.

At least, that’s the case at the Walmart in Lower Nazareth Township in Pennsylvania.  Apparently, some employees discovered the camera in their restrooms and complained.  They were promptly fired for complaining.

In true American fashion, they responded with a lawsuit, and Walmart corporate immediately stepped in to cover its ass by doing some firings of their own and declaring to anyone who would listen that the spycam in the bathroom was a violation of Walmart policy.  No word on if the fired folks got their jobs back, or if any of the footage was leaked to the internet.
