Why not? Genius has been a known brand in all PC related accessories so why not aim higher by entering the crazy world of cameras? KYE had officially announced that through their Genius brand, they will be launching new cameras in the range of 6.2 to 10 MP and video camcorders in the 5MP range.

That was the good news. However, there is a limit. These planned cameras will cater to the mass market meaning you can forget all hopes that new DSLR cameras for professionals will be included. The digital cameras of Genius are ECD-based and the video camcorders are CMOS-based.

The vendor showcased its new range of products including digital cameras and camcorders in the recently concluded Computex 2009 in Taiwan. The new range of products include speakers, mouse, headphones, tablets, digital photo frame, keyboards, webcams, notebook accessories and gaming products.
