Gentex Rear Camera Display Mirror Going Into New Toyota Corolla Verso
Toyota is including the Gentex Rear Camera Display (RDC) mirror in its new Toyota Corolla Verso multi-purpose vehicle. The mirror has a built-in LCD screen that automatically displays a rear-camera view when the vehicle is switched into reverse and then disappears when a different gear is chosen.
Gentex mirror technology has been slowly gaining favor with car manufacturers around the world, but Mazda is first to introduce it in the United States, and now Ford has recently announced the technology would be standard in the 2010 Fusion, Mustang and Mercury Milan.
