Remember that extraordinary Inauguration 1,474 megapixel photo? Remember the GigaPan Imager that was used in order to take all those photos which were later combined to make the giant photo? Well that device is called the GigaPan Epic and it was released for the general public. It will work with most of the current point-and-shoot cameras and it will help you take similar photographs. A robotic mount attached to the camera takes photos automatically which is pretty convenient. The Epic will cost you just $379 and there’s another version coming soon, the GigaPan Epic 100 for larger point-and-shoot cameras.
