Greenhouse Gases Visible on FLIR Cameras?

Now that’s a new and interesting development, folks–remember how Al Gore spent all those years shouting about the global warming before documents were released showing that it’s about eighty percent hoax?

As it turns out, you can literally SEE greenhouse gases thanks to some kinds of FLIR cameras.  Turning one of these “gas finders” on a crowded roadway shows dark plumes rising up like the breath of death itself to engulf the living.  Or at least their lungs and ice caps.  In fact, broadening out to show a normal scene in a FLIR “greenhouse gas” camera reveals a much darker world, filled to the brim with CO2.

This is a bit of a misnomer, really, as CO2 is part and parcel of our lives.  All this “dark footage” really does is show you that, yes, we have CO2 and lots of it.  If we didn’t, trees would die, and so would we.  But it’s still pretty interesting to look at, even if it isn’t exactly fair.
