Film cameras may be phasing out but you can bet that with some tweaks, certain film-based cameras can still be useful or be collectibles. Just take the case of the Leica M7. A simple makeover done by Hermes included improving the back through a simple a silver-chrome finish and removing the traditional red logo of Leica and you get a cool looking camera. Add a leather strap and a linen-covered, silk-lined box and you get an entirely improved camera look.
But a special modified look also comes in limited numbers. The modified Hermes Leica M7 film camera comes in 200 units. So if you are interested in getting one, good luck searching where you can get one due to the limited worldwide quantity.
