I don’t get my hands on many Hitachi cameras.  In fact, I can’t remember the last time I came in contact with a piece of Hitachi hardware.  Though after my contact with them today, I hope I find more in the future, especially after my time with the Hitachi DZ-HS903A.

The Hitachi DZ-HS903A camcorder offers a 10x optical zoom with supporting 240x digital zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD display, image stabilization, a three megapixel still shooting mode, digital stereo recording, a thirty gig hard drive plus mini DVD and Secure Digital storage capabilities, a USB port and included editing software.

There’s plenty to like here–it may look like a pretty simple camcorder, and frankly it is, but it offers some great utility.  The controls are simple, the picture looks pretty decent and, even better, it all comes at a pretty fantastic price.  Best Buy, for example, is offering this item at a hundred and ninety bucks.  This would be a fantastic price for a regular digital camera, but for a camcorder, doubly so.

So if you’re looking for a good camcorder at a great price, try out the Hitachi DZ-HS903A–it’s definitely one to have on your list.
