Hitachi Unveils First 3G Camera Phone

Hitachi unveils the Mobile Hi-Vision Cam Wooo that carries a 720/30p video recording. This new camera is now available through AU via the KDDI Network.

It makes use of a 3GPP2 video codec, and can record videos of up to 720p. The phone offers satisfactory video capture although moving objects may produce blurry playback. Then again, this is a camera phone and not a camcorder so this should not be much of an issue for now.

Notable Features:

  • 5Mpix camera sensor
  • 1Seg TV tuner
  • Lismo Video
  • Wireless Music
  • can give you up to 4h of HD Video recording on a 8GB microSD card in HL mode
