Hockey Net Goal Cameras Are Fragile Things

Alex Ovechkin, ladies and gentlemen, is increasingly regarded as a big name in hockey circles.  He’s got an incredible shooting game and has managed to rack up quite an impressive series of numbers, including some hat tricks.  But what you may not know–and it’s the reason why we’re talking about him in the first place–is that he’s a holy terror when it comes to cameras.

We’ve got video below here of an incredible Alex Ovechkin goal shot…in which he actually BREAKS the camera.

More specifically, his shot is so powerful that he actually breaks the protective layer of plastic overtopping the goal net camera.

This takes an incredible amount of force, folks, and not only was it sufficiently powerful to break the camera, it was also sufficiently powerful to stop the entire game while they fixed it.

So check out the footage of this absolutely amazing shot below, folks, and remember–those cameras are a lot more fragile than you might think.
