HP DF820A3 Digital Picture Frame Review–A Bit Small But Otherwise Good
So today we’re taking a closer look at the HP DF820A3, and we’re taking that closer look mostly because of its smallish size. But when we take that closer look, what we’ll find is a fairly good quality unit that should be able to handle many of your needs.
The HP DF820A3 is an eight inch digital picture frame with Image resolution up to 800 x 600, five hundred and twelve meg of internal memory, internal speakers for MP3 playback, four interchangeable double mats, which gives you eight color options, and options for slideshow, multiple picture, clock and calendar display.
Eight inches across IS a bit small. We’re talking about roughly two thirds of a foot across here, and no matter how good the resolution is, at that size, you’re still going to have some clarity and image problems with this one. But that’s actually okay–the unit itself is still pretty high quality and looks pretty nice with its black-lacquered (I think it’s lacquer, anyway–unlike my father I’m no woodworker) frame. And considering it costs a hundred and fifty dollars, you might be okay with the slightly smaller frame at a discount over its competitors.
