HP Introduces The Large Format Photo Negative App

Recently, HP unveiled a new application called the Large Format Photo Negative app. It was designed to provide career photographers with the ability to make fine-art quality prints and hard copy image archives. Apparently, this application is a revolutionary achievement in digital imaging software, allowing professional printmakers to easily convert their digital files into excellent, hard copy originals of their own creative work. Large-format photo negatives can be utilized in color processes like cyanotype, photogravure, platinotypes, dye-transfer, gum bichromate and carbro to make physical originals.

Furthermore, the Large Format Photo Negative application was created by HP Color Scientist and photographer Angel Albarran. So, this app exists as an inexpensive and user-friendly means for career photographers and printmakers to develop high-quality fine art prints faster with greater success. It’s also meant to be used with the HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer series to use a digital file from a film scan or digital image. The application will be released as a free software package at Photokina this September.
