HP Launches Whole Slate of New Cameras
A big shocker in camera news for you today, folks, as Hewlett Packard jumps back into the camera game with both feet and guns a-blazin’.
They’ve announced the release of their first new digital camera since 2007, and in grand style, they’ll be releasing a whole lineup. As if that weren’t good enough, they also announced a pocket HD camcorder, all fresh off the truck from the PMA show out in Anaheim.
First, we’ve got the HP-CW450, a ninety nine dollar camera that shoots in twelve megapixel resolution with a 4x optical zoom and boasts a 2.7 inch LCD screen. An extra nine bucks gets you into the CW460t, that features everything has but adds touchscreen capabilities to that LCD screen.
There are intermediate models as well, but the highest priced, at a hundred and forty nine bucks, are also twelve megapixel but come with 5x optical zoom and a rechargeable lithium battery.
The camcorder, which you’ve heard about here is the HP V1020h. It comes with an HDMI port and cable, and shoots 720p video at thirty frames per second, just for reminder’s sake.
No doubt about it, it’s a big year for HP buffs.
