Kofax has bundled its VirtualReScan (VRS) software with the HP Scanjet 7000, paving the way for advanced scanning and image enhancement for people relying heavily on image acquiring activities for businesses still tied up with the paper-intensive environment.

There is no doubt that scanned image quality would depend on the type of scanner used to which HP has a proven track record for delivering imaging needs. While the raw data scanned can be sufficient, it remains that the need for supporting software to enhance these graphics is an issue and this is where Kofax comes in.

“Business customers demand reliable, high-speed scanning that quickly, accurately and efficiently captures, corrects and distributes high-quality, readable digital images,” said Shelly Lehmeier, director, value enterprise products – capture at HP. “Kofax’s VRS Professional software helps reduce time-consuming manual processing and corrections, making the solution a natural fit for select HP scanners.”

The bundled package will be shipped by the coming fall.
