HP's new Color Laserjet CM6040f multifunction printer was recently released by the company for its Japanese consumers. The powerful MFP combines various space consuming devices in a single unit. The CM6040f works as a printer, copier, scanner and a facsimile. It generates superior, high quality prints at 1200 x 600 dpi.

The multifunction device prints on a number of substrates including bonded, recycled, glossy, mid-weight, extra heavy glossy paper, transparencies, labels, envelopes and cardstock. The MFP saves important time by printing and copying documents at 41 pages per minute. The CM6040f offers standard scanning and faxing functions.

The flatbed scanner scans documents to JPEGS, PDFS and TIFFS at 600dpi. Its black and white facsimile takes 13 seconds to send one fax and delivers documents at 300 x 300 dpi. Other functions include automatic duplexing, Stapler Stacker and Booklet Maker as special finishing options.
