In case you have a camera and a Mac, you are probably interested in the software Apple has developed for professional photographers and movie makers. You should be aware then that Apple will be moving iMovie together with other applications to the cloud. Why would we need these applications to go online? After all we need to perform our work even without an Internet connection.

While poor video is easy to handle online and even easier to distribute, HD video will be a touch nut to crack. 720p and 1080p can be easily created and edited but you need plenty of space to store it and distribution is rather difficult.
