FCC recently approved the Linea 7290 Barcode Scanner for converting barcode into human readable format. Linea 7290 Barcode Scanner has a wireless interface for Bluetooth connectivity and the main USB supports blackberry, palmtop and pocket pc. It is 130mm x 41 mm x 80 mm in dimensions and 155 grams by weight. It uses an internal piezo buzzer as an audio indicator and two LEDs as visual indicators. With a scan rate of 500 scans per seconds it uses 1D & 2D barcode to understand UPC, RSS, Code39 and other symbologies. With a screen resolution of 256 x 192 points the intermec linear image scanner uses touch screen as an input method.
