Insignia NS-DPF7G Digital Photo Frame Review–Decent Frame, Good Value

Way back in January, I brought you the Insignia NS-DPF9G digital photo frame, which was a nice enough frame but a little on the high side price-wise.  Today, I go back to the well to check out its slightly smaller cousin, the Insignia NS-DPF7G.  It’s not the biggest or the nicest looking, but it’s a decent photo frame with plenty of good features.

The Insignia NS-DPF7G is a seven inch widescreen LCD photo frame that offers support for the JPEG format, a gig of onboard memory with support for CompactFlash, Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO Duo (you’ll need an adapter here, though, and that one’s not included) and xD-Picture Card, automatic rotation of images based on assigned settings, USB port, remote control and Energy Star certification.

Now, admittedly, a seven inch frame can only put out so much in the way of image quality.  But what you can see does look fairly solid, and the frame itself is understated and a good neutral color (actually two of them–it’s a black and silver) to ensure it’ll fit in most anywhere.  But here’s the best part–Best Buy’s got this one on sale right now for sixty bucks.

With a gig of storage and a low price for a pretty nice frame, you should be pretty happy picking up the Insignia NS-DPF7G for your digital photo display needs.
