iPhone Camera Dialer–Point. Click. Dial.

You ever see a phone number somewhere, like on a billboard or something, and wish you could just take one touch to dial that number instead of having to punch in all those numbers by hand?  Well, iPhone has heard your wish, and managed to integrate phone dialing in with its camera function.

So now, when you see a phone number, and you want to call it, no more standing in front of that sign and dialing–just fire up the Camera Dialer app on the iPhone and your camera will start like normal but with a green box in the screen.  Center the phone number inside that green box and click.  Then the phone will kick in and dial the number inside the green box.

I’m sorry but that’s just plain old cool.  Never mind the fact that you could dial a ten digit number yourself in a matter of seconds, but just clicking one box and dialing?  It may not be useful, but it’s spectacularly cool.
