JVC GZ-MS120AUS Camcorder Review–Plenty To Like Here

I’ve seen more than a few JVC camcorders at this point, and some of them are better than others.  I did enjoy my time with the JVC GZ-MS120AUS, and there’s definitely quite a bit to like about it.

The JVC GZ-MS120AUS camcorder offers an 800x digital zoom, a 2.7 inch Lazer-Touch II LCD monitor, the Gigabrid image processing engine, onboard image stabilization with night recording, a YouTube and iTunes mode for easy uploading, still photography in your choice of two resolutions, support for two Secure Digital memory cards at once, a special effects menu for your still photos, Dolby Digital A3 recording, a USB port, optional direct-to-DVD burning capability and editing software.

I’m usually a sucker for a camera with a slider bar, so it’s handy that this one has one.  The zoom seemed pretty long, even for being just digital–about a hundred feet or so by the look of it. And the controls–with that slider bar on the monitor–are pretty easy to work with.

Add on to that that Best Buy wants a hundred and seventy three bucks for this and it turns the JVC GZ-MS120AUS into a pretty nice camcorder.  It’d be better if it offered some onboard memory, but the two card slots help.  It’s a pretty nice camcorder, as they go.
