Kodak Playsport 1734789 Camera Review–Portable Above All

We actually just talked about a Kodak Playsport a couple days ago, and I was actually pretty pleased with how it turned out.  So when another one presented an opportunity to try it out, I went for it.  Today we’re talking about the Kodak Playsport 1734789, and it’s actually on par with its predecessor.

The Kodak Playsport 1734789 is waterproof to ten feet (and can continue shooting!) and offers five megapixel video and still resolution, along with face-tracking technology, electronic image stabilization, two inch LCD monitor, USB and HDMI interfaces, low-light shooting capability, slow motion playback, Secure Digital memory card compatibility and ArcSoft Media editing software.

It’s a fairly nice package, though nowhere near as higher-end as some others.  And the controls are definitely simple enough to work (they sort of have to be), though the clear winner here has to be the price tag.  Best Buy’s got this on sale right now for a hundred and thirty five bucks, which is not half bad.

Sure, you can get some full size camcorders for about the same price with some more bells and whistles, but for those needing a simple, go-anywhere camcorder, you can do much worse than the Kodak Playsport 1734789.
