Kodak Zi6
How about a pink miniature camcorder you can pick up for under $150? Sound dangerous? The Kodak Zi6 can be dangerous in the wrong hands—like those of your teenaged daughter or your nosy niece. It makes a great graduation or birthday gift though, and with its solid 720p video capability; its comparatively large LCD viewer; a memory-card expansion slot; and AA rechargeable batteries included, it’s not a bad little camcorder. On the downside, the onboard memory is pretty minimal, so you’re going to have to spring for a memory card (it’s not included with the camera), and the batteries can’t be recharged via the USB connector.
The Kodak Zi6 comes with a sensor resolution of 1.6 megapixels and a 2x optical zoom, but its most distinctive feature is its attractive youthful design, fun case colors, and acceptable video capability. Expect to pay between $149 and $189 for the camera, which comes with its own carrying case and video output cables.
