Review: Kodak V610 Dual Lens Camera
Another website to review the Kodak V610 was DC Mag UK who liked the camera for its innovative design, its twin lens capabilities and its novelty factor. But they did feel let down when it came to the image quality and feel that it’s pretty expensive.
The Kodak V610 is the world’s smallest camera ever with a 10x optical zoom. It includes two SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH C-VARIOGON all-glass; non-protruding prism lenses and uses KODAK RETINA Dual Lens technology. The V610 is a 6 mega-pixel camera and includes a 2.8 in. (7.1 cm) high resolution (230K pixels) LCD screen. The onboard video mode is able to record VGA (640 × 480 pixels) at 30 fps, VGA long at 30 fps and QVGA (320 × 240 pixels) at 30 fps. One great feature is the onboard Bluetooth wireless technology which will make sharing and printing images a breeze. Some other features found on the digicam include Color modes like high color, natural color, low color, sepia, black and white, White balance settings, 4X advanced digital zoom, total zoom range 40X and a number of Scene Modes like auto, portrait, panorama left-right, panorama right-left, sport, landscape, close-up, night portrait, night etc.
The review writes in the end "Kodak’s innovative twin-lens, that first appeared on the V560, was a headline grabber. Now with the V610 theres still no sign of a copy from competitors. However, the image quality sometimes leaves a little to be desired, especially when compared to the (admittedly larger) super zooms out there which offer up-close imaging."
