Sony's Compact PictureStation Kiosk

Sony introduces a new and compact version of its PictureStation photofinishing kiosk. Empowered with Sony’s proprietary technology the system delivers amazing results just like its previous model. With less than half of the area covered as covered by the larger model, it features photo enhancement tools and embellishments such as photo borders, calendars to print superior documents. For flexibility of use it also features CD burning, scanning and scrapbooking functionality with a smaller footprint and an expandable kiosk system.
“Retailers are continually being challenged to use their stores’ real estate more efficiently,” said Jay Kelbley, senior manager, product marketing for Sony’s digital photofinishing group. “This new system can grow in any store layout, and can easily be integrated with in-store merchandising materials and Sony branded displays.”
The compact system easily produces 800 prints per hour which can be increased to more than 2000 prints per hour. Additionally it features Credit card and value card payment solutions, remote monitoring, and remote update capabilities through Ethernet or wireless network. The new compact PictureStation system will be released in the month of December.
