Kyocera Launches World’s Fastest Inkjet Printhead
Speed is essential when you are printing and normally this would depend on the type of printhead we use. As you may probably have noted by now, the printhead is the single most critical component of printers today and while we would want them to perform faster, it is not until now that we get a much improved printhead. Kyocera Corporation is responsible for such technology, an accomplishment that should be lauded by people who require heavy printing needs today.
The new Kyocera KJ4 printhead boasts of 2,656 nozzles per head and capable of printing up to 150 million dots per second. The new Kyocera KJ4 series offers the fastest print speeds for various resolutions: 600×360dpi (330m/min. at 40kHz), 600×600dpi (200m/min at 40kHz), and 1200×1200dpi (150m/min at 60kHz).
The Kyocera KJ4 will be on display at the Japan Graphic Arts Show 2009 from October 6 to 10 at the Tokyo Big Sight.
