Leica M9 and X1 Leaked Before Leica’s Event
Leica has a special event scheduled for 09/09/09 at 9:00 AM. And now we know what new cameras are going to be unveiled on that occasion. The M9 and the X1 have been leaked a week before the event.
The M9 doesn’t surprise us at all. We were waiting for it and given its name we were expecting it to be available on that particular date in September. The M9 will come with a 18.2-megapixel sensor and better performance in low-light environments.
The X1 is a totally new camera. It’s going to offer you a 12-megapixel APS-C sensor, a fixed 24mm lens and some grip there. We have no pricing details for either one of these babies but we hope that we’ll find out more in one week.
