Leica 3 DIGILUX Camera
Leica recently unveiled its first integrated digital SLR which has adapted the Four Thirds system, something which is new for the company. Thanks to this system now one doesn’t need to just invest in Leica lenses and the new Leica DIGILUX 3 will support all types of lenses. The DSLR is quite similar to the Panasonic DMC-L1 but this one has the Leica name to it so do expect some nifty features!
The Leica DIGILUX 3 is outfitted with a 7.5 megapixel LiveMOS sensor for a real-time live photo function and also features an energy-saving operating system. The kit lens is a LEICA D 14 - 50 mm ASPH (F2.8 - F3.5) lens with built-in optical image stabilization and has a focal length range of 28 to 100 millimeters. One will also come across an exposure ring on the camera and manual setting rings for aperture, zoom and focus. It also supports RAW and ISO Settings range from 80-1600.
The new DSLR from Leica features a 2.5“camera display with a resolution of 207,000 pixels and the built in image stabilization system promises top-notch results by combating camera shakes and compensating for low light shots. The camera comes bundled with 1 GB SD card, a battery charger, rechargeable battery and a complete software package (Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 (PC)/3.0 (Mac), Quicktime Movie Player).
