Lensbaby 3G Lens for a Film SLR
The new Lensbaby 3G Lens for a Film SLR is not really digital but it does deserve a mention here! This selective focus lens is able to lock itself in bent position making for extremely accurate focusing! It is currently at display in Photokina and by a single press of a button, the photographer can lock in his desired position. The Lenbaby 3G has low dispersion, high refractive index, multi-coated optical glass doublet and once can also move the optic in and out just like a normal lens. The lens should be available by October and for more info visit lensbabies.com
The process of shooting with Lensbaby 3G is quite different than with Lensbaby 2.0, and the two lenses are optimized for different types of photography. While Lensbaby 2.0 is great for intuitive, fluid, photojournalistic shots, Lensbaby 3G is a workhorse for pros that require precise focusing, complete control, and repeatability,
