Mac Trojan Found in Photoshop Pirated Copies

In case you’re used to work on your photographs using Adobe’s pirated version of Photoshop CS4 for Mac then simply don’t do that anymore. I don’t have to tell you that it’s illegal and what not but I will tell you it’s dangerous these days. After 20,000 Macs got infected with a Trojan from a pirate version of iWork 09, it looks like more Macs are in danger as this pirate version of Photoshop CS4 seems to offer the Trojan too.

It’s OSX.Trojan.iServices.B, a trojan which installs with root privileges and then it opens a back-door to the author. That’s how your computer will be open for remote control. It looks like 5,000 people have already downloaded the pirated CS4. Good luck to them then! They’ll have a blast getting rid of it.

If you have however downloaded the pirate Photoshop, I’d advise you to get rid of the crack which is supposed to get you the serial numbers for CS4. It hides the Trojan too together with the activation codes.

Watch out what you download, and go buy your own CS4 for those pictures of yours!
