Mini MP3 Cam DVR Looks A Lot Like An IPod Shuffle
Next time you see someone staring a little too intently at his iPod shuffle, think twice–you may be looking at a new kind of spycam.
Someone overseas–you can’t actually buy these little numbers through any American distributor–has managed to create a spycam that looks just like an iPod shuffle. You can see that picture at right: that’s no iPod, that’s a spycam.
You may not think a camera that tiny could produce any kind of recognizable video, but it’ll take video at 640 x 480 resolution at twenty frames per second. Conversely, you can also set it to take JPEG photos, and all the output of this tiny wonder can go out to USB.
It’s a little bit scary knowing that, everywhere you go, you could be photographed by anyone with an iPod. But here’s the really creepy part: these suckers sell for fifteen bucks a pop when you buy three at once. Any high school kid could get their hands on one of these.
