National Instruments NI 1722 Smart Cameras

National Instruments recently unveiled the NI 1722 Smart Cameras to specifically support engineers and scientists with high-performance systems. The NI Smart Cameras are implanted devices that unite a business controller with an image sensor and integrate with NI vision software to provide image processing straightforwardly on the cameras, making them idyllic for functions like finding parts, checking packaging, verifying assembly and reading 1-D and 2-D codes.

Furthermore for advanced functioning, these Cameras also join together with National Instruments LabVIEW software and the full NI library of image processing and machine vision algorithms such as edge detection, pattern matching, 1-D and 2-D code reading and optical character recognition. This camera is built for usage in difficult industrial setting and thus employs a 400 MHz PowerPC processor. In addition to all this the monochrome VGA (640 x 480) image sensor used in NI 1722 cameras are high-quality Sony charge-coupled device.. This camera would be available at a price range of $1,999 although about its date of arrival in market there is still no clue.
