NEC Reveals Processors Ready for 12 Megapixel Camera Phone

Samsung is the first cell phone maker that will launch a 12 megapixel camera phone. And it must be NEC the company that must have made that happen. NEC has revealed a linear shift-invariant or LSI chip which will let your cell phone take 12 megapixel photos. The CE143 chip will also be able to handle output full-HD video and it will impress you with its focus speed and its signal-to-noise reduction. There are also features like image stabilization or shading correction to make your phone act as a point-and-click camera. The Mobile World Congress this month will probably be the event where Samsung will release the first 12 megapixel camera phone, but I am sure others will follow.
